Félix Rasumny

Felix Rasumny is a French engraver and medal artist of Russian origin, representative of Art Nouveau. Born in Sevastopol, Russian Empire (today in Ukraine), on April 20, 1869, he was naturalized French on April 15, 1905. Rasumny studied under masters such as Aimé Millet, Camille Gauthier, and Paulin Tasset.

He became a member of the French artists’ society in 1907 and participated in the Salon of this group since 1889. In 1911, he became a member of the National Society of Fine Arts. Throughout his career, Felix Rasumny received several distinctions, including an honorable mention in 1891 and a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1911. He was also appointed a knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor by decree of July 13, 1933.
