The Atlantic Star is a military campaign medal, instituted by the United Kingdom in May 1945 for award to British Commonwealth forces that took part in the Battle of the Atlantic, the longest continuous campaign of the Second World War.

Six-pointed star with the monogram of King George VI in its center ( GRI : Georgius Rex Imperator / George King and Emperor) , surmounted by the royal crown , and surrounded by the legend: THE ATLANTIC STAR .

Three vertical stripes of blue , white and sea green , the colors of the Atlantic Ocean.
