Biography :
Maurice Quentin (1870-1955)
Doctor in law, he became secretary of the Paris Bar Internship Conference and lawyer at the Paris Court of Appeal.
– 1900 to 1940: Municipal councilor of the Les Halles district
– 1910: vice-president of the Paris Municipal Council
– 1913: president of the General Council of the Seine and president of the budget committee of the General Council.
– 1915 to 1916: Member of the advisory council at the Ministry of Agriculture
– 1918: corresponding member of the Academy of Agriculture
– 1920: member of the steering committee of the League of Patriots chaired by Maurice Barrès
– 1924 to 1925: president of the Paris Municipal Council
He was particularly concerned with the organization of exhibitions and conferences. Secretary of the Exhibitions Commission of the Town Hall and president of the standing commission for Congresses, Conferences and Competitions at the French Exhibitions Committee (of which he is also a member of the legal council), he is vice-president of the organizing committee French and president of the Congress and Conference Commission at the Universal Exhibition of Liège, president of the Congress and Conference Commission at the International Exhibitions of Turin, Ghent, Leipzig and Strasbourg, as well as at the International Exhibition of Decorative arts of Paris from 1925. He is also vice-president of the French Refrigeration Association and the International Refrigeration Association.
