Head in profile to the left of Mateu Josep Bonaventura Orfila i Rotger, known as Mathieu Orfila (1787-1853), Spanish doctor and chemist naturalized French in 1818. Influential Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Paris, he is a pioneer in forensic toxicology.
