Biography :
Mathieu Jaboulay (1860-1913) was a renowned French surgeon, known for his contributions to digestive surgery and surgical innovations, such as gastroenterostomy. He worked at the Hôtel-Dieu in Lyon, where he perfected various techniques, and was one of the first to attempt organ transplants. His work on cancer marked his final years. He died in a train accident. His career and influence made him a central figure in surgical medicine of his time.
